Event Update 2023 - Volunteer Part of Christmas in May Canceled
Since the forecast is showing steady rain Saturday morning, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the volunteer part of Christmas in May this year.
It's a bummer, but rain does not work well with outdoor work like painting and landscaping.
The good news is that we'll still be able to complete some projects that do not require volunteers, so we still made an impact on our community!
We look forward to seeing our volunteers again in 2024!

Christmas in May volunteers can change the lives of our Chaska neighbors. Typically, we need both skilled and unskilled volunteers to help us rehabilitate the homes of Chaska residents who are unable to make the repairs.
We are thankful for the enthusiasm our volunteers bring each and every year! Alongside the families and individuals who volunteer, clubs and groups sign up for team bonding, volunteer hours, and a great experience.
To volunteer, please complete our volunteer registration form at the bottom of the page.
You should plan to attend the kick-off continental breakfast at the St. John's Lutheran Church gym (300 E. 4th St.) at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6. The entrance to the gym is located on 4th Street in Downtown Chaska.
During breakfast, volunteers should talk with house captains, who are project managers for each house. Each house captain will have a sign-up sheet for volunteers to pick their housing assignment. All volunteers must sign up before going to a house site.
If you are under the age of 18, you will need a Minor Release and Waiver form signed by a parent or guardian. Please bring the signed Minor Release and Waiver form with you.
